"The journey was not pleasant at first. We were booked to leave the hotel at 2:30 p.m., but we got a call at 1:30 p.m. urging us to assemble quickly, and the tone was not good. We hurried out, then picked up the others in turn (jeep cars for eight people), drove to a large turntable assembly into the desert, and then waited for other cars and people ... enough to wait for more than an hour!! (If we follow the set time and abide by it together, it won't take much longer) Then it was an hour or so across the gravel desert, and it was bumpy and exciting because there was no proper road at all ... When we got to the camp, we followed the pre-determined procedure and experienced a camel ride (five minutes), watched "native" pancakes, sold cool oil, handicrafts, etc. ... and then took it to a hillside to wait for sunset, to take pictures ... We'd seen it better many times and had a better sunset, so we thought it was average ... Sunset was about 4:30, and it kind of cooled down after being covered by a higher mountain in the distance. Then the process continued, sitting around, handing out mineral water, drinking tea, the natives singing "folk songs," lighting candles, lining up for dinner... After eating, they went to stargazing 🔭 The stargazing part is what I think is best! First we queue to see Saturn and the moon through a telescope, and the guide will tell the corresponding star with a spotlight. After reading it, the guide goes on to introduce the basic laws of star motion and seasonal transformation, highlighting a few constellations or bright stars to judge the southeast and northwest and seasons, which in the early days was one of the very basic and important survival skills! (Tip: You can download a stargazing app in advance, and I'm under the sky guide, pointing my phone lens toward the sky, and the current constellation of that orientation will appear on the screen. Stargazing at the app, friendly to novices, and fun!) Give it a 3.5 overall... If there's a next time, I don't want to ride a camel or watch an Aboriginal pancake..."

Great memories made!

"Very good experience for everyone! Good memories was made... they adapt and give options as i had a 9yo with me and hours of quad biking across a desert would be too much, so we did a off road jeep to ride the camels then back to ride quads for a hour or so that suited my family perfectly... obviously you can choose to quad bike for the whole 3h if you like."

"My family really enjoyed the experience. The jeep ride was fun and bumpy, and the short camel ride was lovely. The sunset from the mountains was amazing! There is a bedouin family who prepare bread and sell really authentic handmade souviner. Dinner is served with candles lit in a tent, and food is tasty. However, they could have had a bit more lighting whilst eating. The star gazing and information about the stars was excellent! The only downside was that it was so cold and dark that it would have been good if they had lit a fire to keep us warm at the same time it also adds.more lighting."

An amazing day trip you will remember forever!

"We went as an extended family of 10 which were 5 adults and 5 children aged between 6 - 15 years. The day included a pick up from our hotel (the driver was 40 mins late but the driver was very apologetic so we didn’t mind). He drove us to the venue which was only 10 mins away from our Hurghada hotel. Once we arrived we paid £5pp for ‘National Park’ costs which we had known about from the confirmation email (this is an extra often added to excursions). We met our tour guide Ahmed who was brilliant throughout the day with fantastic spoken English. He took us to the quad bikes which we drove for a good 30 mins. Then we went to the ‘Bedouin village’ which they try to sell as real life but is blatantly staged as we only saw 3 people in the whole village! A fresh chappati was made in front of us which we sampled before being taken to view (and buy which we didn’t) Bedouin medication. Again there was no way this was organic and herbal - camel milk does not smell that fragrant! The younger children wanted to buy bracelets and necklaces which cost £5 each! (We later discovered they were 3 for £5 from the entrance). This was followed by a camel ride and then we headed back to the start where we drove the buggy’s. Finally we were taken to the buffet area for a meal and a show. Overall a brilliant day which we will remember forever! Top tips: 1. Buy your own keffiyeh (scarves) from the local market at £1-£2 each rather than at £4 on the day. 2. Bring sunglasses as it will stop the sand going into your eyes (you don’t need the goggles that they will persuade you to hire). 3. Wear trainers. Sandals/flip flops are not great as you get rocky sand between your toes and it’s harder to grip the pedals when driving. 4. Haggle - they always start very high. We managed to buy 5 photos they had taken of us at £3 for all 5 pics when they originally wanted £10! 5. Bring lots of water bottles with you - you will be in the desert with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees. 6. Wear clothing that covers arms and legs. I burnt my legs badly on the day whilst driving on the quad bikes as it was the hottest part of the day. Overall - an amazing day trip. Well worth the £175 costs (£125 trip cost plus £50 national park) and an excursion we will remember forever ❤️"

Starry Night

"We were picked up from the hotel just before 4pm and driven to the Bedouin village in a Jeep. The ride was quite bumpy but fun at the same time. We went on the camels for a couple minutes which was a great experience. We watched them make their traditional bread and got a history lesson about the Bedouin people. Dinner is included and was great, and then we watched the sunset at the top of the hill. We came back down and watched the stars once it got fully dark which was beautiful. The guides were super knowledgeable, especially Hamid who pointed out all the constellations. We even got to see Venus and Mars. We got back to the hotel at around 10pm. All around a great experience and a nice break from the resorts. Would recommend!"

Fantastic day and night

"Amazing, tranquil and adventurous in every way. Going from off roading in a Jeep to our destination, riding a camel, seeing the sunset, having a delicious meal under candle light, seeing the stars and having the most knowledgeable guide in Adam, who gave us a lecture on the stars which was just wow! Finished with a drive back in the jeep!"

You can make but you don't have to

"Nice guides, Ibrahim was our German guide, he was very nice and took good care of. Good apprentices of the constellations. Overall, the tour was ok: Pro: Beautiful desert landscape (sunset on hills with great views) Good food, good food Nice guides Good explanation of the individual constellations Delicious flatbread freshly prepared by a Bedouin Contra: Very long journey/departure in total about 3h from Sahl Hasheesh, partial drive through the desert along garbage dumps Plus 20 min wait until everyone arrives at the stopover (duration of entire excursion 7h) Camel riding takes 2min and our camel was beaten by the Bedouin to sit down again Starlit skies are okay in April, but hardly better than at home 20km outside Munich. You can see Jupiter and Co through telescopes which is quite unspectacular because they were just blurred points"

Highly recommended, everything flawless

"I'm fine. Contact flawless, pickup on time. Briefing very good. Vehicles technically flawless. Before departure everything well explained while driving was paid attention to everyone. Guide etc. were always very friendly and you could communicate well. Route great but also challenging because of the length. We liked it so much that we did the tour again a few days later."

"A superb experience for us with a top team: infectious smiles, laughter and kindness. 1 hour of rock and roll crossing and very fun with splendid landscapes then arrived on the camp of a Bedouin family. The little camel tour is short but enough for us. The spot to watch the sunset is just fabulous and left us speechless. We were able to witness the preparation of the patties and the launching of the fire which was welcome given the particularly cool temperature. The dinner in tent was good and the demo of the constellations very interesting. Plus, the songs around the fire. We keep a wonderful memory of this excursion that we recommend without hesitation"

Price / performance Top but outdated quads with technical flaws

"The quad bikes are old and mine didn't have the brakes set correctly or had too little braking power, which was not entirely safe. Often the quads simply went out for no apparent reason. Nevertheless, I must say that the price / performance ratio was enormously good. After a 25 km tour you could still ride camels for free, get a black tea and freshly baked flatbreads."

Totally worth the experience

"The feeling of riding through the desert on an ATV and a buggy car was priceless. It feel surreal at certain moments. Visiting the bedouin village was very educational of a different living universe. Riding the camel with my 5-year old was lots fun and excitement for us both. Dinner show was not anything special, but the overall experience was pretty exciting."

"Hammer Quad-Tour – Immer wieder gerne! Richtig coole Tour! Wir waren zu viert da und hatten eine top Zeit. Die Guides waren super freundlich und locker drauf. Die Fahrt durch die Wüste war lang genug und die Kombi mit dem Kamelreiten und dem Dorfbesuch war perfekt. Dass nebenbei Fotos und Videos gemacht wurden, war ein super Service. Werden definitiv wieder hier buchen!"
